Beloit, WI – November 16, 2015 – Regarded as a leading authority on aviation safety and regulatory compliance, Heidi MacFarlane brings more than 25 years of experience to Comply365, a Beloit, Wisconsin-based software company, where she’ll serve as Vice President of Product Strategy and Development. Among many product-related responsibilities, MacFarlane will head the design and shaping of Comply365’s mobile content management solutions to meet the unique needs of today’s highly regulated industries, including aviation, transportation, and energy.

Prior to joining Comply365, MacFarlane spent more than a decade at MedAire, an International SOS company, where she served in a variety of strategic leadership roles. Most recently, she was the Vice President of Strategic Development responsible for product development and strategic client relations across the company’s four global divisions: commercial airlines, business aviation, yachting and commercial shipping. As Vice President of Global Response Services, she oversaw the operations for the company’s two Global Response Centers, and prior to her promotion, she was the company’s Director of Commercial Aviation Programs.
From 2002 to 2004, MacFarlane worked for Southwest Airlines managing the carrier’s regulatory compliance and in-flight procedures. Prior to that, she spent 15 years in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility at US Airways, where she most notably developed and facilitated flight attendant and pilot training programs.
MacFarlane earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in modern language and linguistics from the University of Maryland and a Master’s degree in education from the University of North Carolina. She also served as vice chairman of the Cabin Operations Committee of the Air Transport Association from 2003 to 2004, and participated in the working group that developed industry anti-terrorism related guidelines following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
